I was never a Daisy or a Brownie. Mike had a very very brief time in Scouts (probably less than a few months), but when my oldest seemed interested in joining Cub Scouts, I though it sounded like fun! That was about 9 years ago. I watched him have fun in Scouts, and then when our 2nd one was about the same age as Stephen we signed him up to, and then our third son, well he could not wait till he got to compete in the Pinewood Derby, even selling popcorn is fun for him!
 

I now have 2 boys in Boy Scouts and one who just became a Webelos. My oldest is in the planning stages of his Eagle Project, and we anticipate him reaching the rank of Eagle Scout early next year.
 

It has been a pleasure to watch not just my own boys, but other boys in their Pack and now troops grow. What I love about Scouts is the values it teaches, the responsibility it puts on the boys, the life skills they get. Many of the Eagle required merit badges are great in giving the boys the tools they need to become responsible adults - everything from Cooking, to First Aid, to Environmental Science, and more.
 

I am glad that my sons' enjoy Scouts. I love scouts even though I do not consider myself a camper!
 

This past year, I have seen quite a few kids, in both of the troops my older boys are in, reach the rank of Eagle Scout. I am glad to have met these boys and their families!
